Summary
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no content from third-party servers. Fonts are served from this domain. The only data processed is what is technically necessary to deliver a page, and messages you send me yourself.
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit it, the host processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, referrer and browser user agent. This is required to deliver the site and to protect it against abuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. The host processes the data on my behalf (Art. 28 GDPR) under its data processing agreement.
Data may also be processed on servers outside the EU, in particular in the USA. This is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses; the host is also certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. How long the host keeps connection data is described in its privacy policy.
Contact by email
If you write to me, I process your details to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the request concerns a possible employment or contractual relationship, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. I delete messages once they are no longer needed for this purpose and no retention obligation applies.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
